Bollywood wedding fashion this month- Who wore what?

This week in our 'The Daily Desi Wardrobe' series we have a very interesting and exciting post. It includes two of my favorite things, Bollywood & weddings. And when these two come together it's bound to be awesome! This month two big Bollywood film families celebrated two grand weddings! Let's get this post started and see who wore what to these weddings!

The first wedding was actress Sonakshi Sinha's brother, Kush Sinha's wedding. The who's who not only from Bollywood but also from different fields attended the wedding including the Prime Minister of India, Mr. Modi.

With Prime Minister on the wedding list of course the wedding was going to be lavish & extravagant with designer outfits everywhere. And so it was!  Moreover the sister of the groom, Sonakshi being a bollywood actress, took up the fashion quotient a notch.

Sonakshi started off the celebration with this white lahenga. Here look how ravishing she looked in the celebrations.

Sonakshi wearing a beautiful Anita Dongre  gold & off white lahenga, a classic Indian combination for the Mehendi ceremony. She chose to go with minimal jewelry for this look & looks stunning! Doesn't she?

Now for the Sangeet ceremony she wore a Manish Malhotra lahenga. Wearing this beautiful yellow & gold lahenga with detailed gold embellishments, she finished off this look with earrings & a passa.

For the wedding ceremony she wore a Pernia qureshi's sheer neck blue lahenga. With hair pulled back she added a maang tikka and pearl earrings to go with this look.

I couldn't find any good picture of her's in the wedding with this outfit. But here is a picture of Sonakshi wearing the same outfit for a bridal photoshoot.

And finally Sona finished of the ceremonies with this outfit for the reception, also designed by Manish Malhotra. Subtle & feminine, she looks pretty.

Although she looked great in all the outfits, I personally liked the mehendi one the most & the wedding one the least.

This high profile wedding also had some stylish & stunning guests walk in. With so many stars, this wedding sure was like a Bollywood movie.

The next grand wedding was actor Saif ali Khan's sister Soha Ali Khan's. Soha tied the knot this week with her long term actor boyfriend Kunal Khemu. In this happy event too we saw some amazing fashion. First lets start with bride, Soha.

In Ritu Kumar the bride looks effortlessly beautiful for her Mehendi ceremony.

The wedding ceremony was intimate & took place at their Pataudi residence with brother Saif & sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor by her side. Wearing a Sabyasachi Mukherjee lahenga, Soha looked stunning in her wedding trosseau.

Kareena Kapoor with her man Saif, looked so pretty. I like how she kept her look classily simple because, she being such a star can easily take away the show from the bride. This saree she wore is by her favorite designer, Manish Malhotra. Saif undoubtedly looks like a royal Nawab & his look complements his lady love's.

Now for the reception Soha wore a beautiful Sanjay Garg creation. The newly married couple look so cute!

This ensemble is undoubtedly my favorite. This is from Sanjay's autumn winter collection 2014 which he showcased at Lakme fashion week. Remember my post Bride Guide in which we saw beautiful lahengas & sarees for brides to be? I love this ensemble not only beacause of the vibrant pink & gold colors but also the use of contemporary Indian fabrics. 

Soha did a great job by choosing this outfit as this beautiful & elegant ensemble truly made this Nawabi bride look royal!

This wedding too saw some big Bollywood celebs walking in & some great fashion.
